ShanghART Videotheque

 

ShanghART Gallery is pleased to announce the release of ShanghART Videotheque with more than 200 works.

 

The Videotheque offers a platform for visitors to view the artists’ work in video art and film. The archive features Chinese video & film art produced since the beginning of the 90’s up until today. The selection ranges from canonical works like Yang Fudong’s Seven Intellectuals In Bamboo Forest I-V cycle to newly produced experimental films by young and up-coming artists. Works include feature-length 35 mm films transferred to DVD, video documentations of performances, animations, and short films.

 

A full catalogue including brief descriptions of the various films available to view can be found at the Videotheque desk at ShanghART’s galleries in Shanghai and Beijing. Also a pdf of the Videotheque catalogue will be available for download at www.shanghartgallery.com

 

Screening time can be booked in advance, and monitors are provided for individual viewings.
