Unlike the way of group exhibitions in the past, in April, ShangART brings “Beds” which is gathered paintings, photographs and installations on “bed” or “things mattered with bed” from 13 distinguishing artists. Zhang Enli painted the bed in daily life, the monologue of the vacant home; The beds by Jin Weihong described the worship and home of female; Hu Yang’s camera records the beds of Shanghai, the attitude of living, and the meticulously processed bed from Xu Zhen is more like a game with figure words.
As furniture with privacy complex, bed should be placed in a closed space. But the borderline of privacy and public was blurred by information society, and everyone (family) just set the wall higher than yesterday. Currently, in the name of art, we concentrate on the sharing space with the different art works on the same topic which lead more “different dreams” however.
