“S10” filmed at Siemens Business Communication Systems Ltd

Siemens Arts Program connects famous artist and employees

In September 2003, an intriguing arts program named “S10” was filmed at Shanghai Siemens Business Communication Systems ltd. (SBCS). Mr. Yang Fudong, the 32-year-old artist from Beijing, has shared four days of exciting and interesting experience together with twenty actors and actresses, and their 300 colleagues in SBCS.

“S10” was innovatively designed to elegantly mix different types of performance and arts, including video, photography, fashion design and real-time performance. The show features 2 special and eye-catching joint garments for 10 males and 10 females respectively. 20 employees wearing the clothes, curiously faced with lights and cameras, finished the filming successfully.

Mr. Yang Fudong says, “’S’ can stand for Siemens, summer, spring or sunshine… and ‘10’ means group, cooperation or reality and virtual scene.” From a unique angle, the program describes the fast changing modern life in metropolis. With unusual suits, the performance took places in SBCS offices, factories and meeting rooms, enabling people to experience the real life via distorted images, clothes and performance.

Facing the fast-changing world, SBCS has continuously under gone changes everyday in terms of the working environment, employees and the business environment. Just like their inter-connected garments, SBCS employees are embracing changes, working in inter-connected teams, dependent of each other. SBCS Marketing Communication Director Ms. Amie Choy expresses her appreciation of the program, “In our daily office hours, if we can work well together as a team, move in a coordinated ways, we can overcome changes in a better spirit as one.”

During the shooting, SBCS employees have paid enthusiastic support to the artist team. By working hard jointly with each other, the both parties are quite satisfactory with smooth and fruitful bilateral cooperation. Ms. Chen Yi, the project leader from SBCS comments that, “The ‘S10’ program filmed at SBCS presents an excellent sample, demonstrating that Siemens employees are pursuing successful business and creative life as well, while providing the most innovative technology to our customers.”

Ms. Zhuang Jianling, one of the actors who have attended the filing, says that, “I am quite exciting and interested to attend the Arts Program. Usually I didn’t know too much about the video arts, but now I think I have got some fantastic experience by attending the filming.” She also comments, “I have got to know more about my colleagues in different departments. And the event also brings more arts atmosphere to our company.”

The video editing work is to be finished by this December and will be shown at SBCS from December 15, 2003 to January 12, 2004, 9 am to 5 pm. As part of global Siemens Arts Program, “S10” filming receives great attention and support from the headquarter and Siemens Ltd China.
