A Drop of Star is a site-specific installation work. Yao Qingmei dug a star-shaped puddle of water after raining which reflects and mirrors the surroundings. This star-shaped reflection is flexible and unstable – as it gradually becomes clear, a drop of water falls from above, causing ripples in it. The puddle eventually vaporises and disappears due to the rising of temperature.
