The original version of this work was created by the artist in 2011 at the group exhibition "Read at Night@Hangzhou" (participants were required to enter the exhibition hall at 12 midnight and complete the work by 12 noon the next day, marking the opening of the exhibition). Before the exhibition opened, the artist wrote this sentence using night glow paint. This sentence was almost invisible during the exhibition but would absorb light and illuminate the exhibition hall when people turned off the lights and left.
The digital version of this reworked version is visually bound to the day and night of the time and place it exists in. It is like a clock, appearing or disappearing as time passes, connecting people's emotions, lives, and work with that inevitable "night".
