Responding to the Seoul Museum of Art’s 2026 exhibition theme, “Technology,” this exhibition presents a comprehensive survey of six decades of artistic practice by Lynn Hershman Leeson (b. 1941), a pioneering American female media artist and filmmaker. As the artist’s first museum solo exhibition in Asia, it follows her major institutional exhibitions at venues such as the New Museum and ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. Through her explorations of the relationship between humans and technology, identity, and surveillance, the exhibition examines how artificial intelligence and digital technologies have transformed human identity and society, while raising questions about the coexistence of humans and technology in the AI era and encouraging reflection on the evolving concept of human identity.
