Love Around Us — An Exhibition About Memory is currently on display. As a selected project of the 2022 Shanghai Art Museum Young Curator Development Program, this exhibition centers on caring for people with cognitive impairment, fully exploring the power of art and actively investigating how art can intervene in the lives of special groups. Through photography, video, painting, and installation, the artist responds to self and others, watching and searching, memory and love. The exhibition space is presented in the form of a theatrical stage, unfolding in three different sections.
“Connections of Relationship” | When becoming the closest person to someone with memory loss, how can one record and accompany the love and sense of belonging within a relationship from an observer’s perspective?

Salamiou in Cyprus will host the Cyprus Countryside Animation Film Festival this year. It is a quiet small village. Like many remote towns in China, most young people have moved to big cities to make a living, leaving behind elderly people living alone and others who require care. Vrionis is the village secretary here, and also the only young person in the village. Therefore, he is responsible for receiving the first resident artist visiting this time. The artist is greatly interested in everything here, and Vrionis often takes the artist around to look at the surroundings. Through the artist’s lens, what is presented is the continuous local landscape and lifestyle of Cyprus. The simple and gentle narrative depicts ordinary people and everyday matters in the small village. Salamiou becomes a reflection, mirroring every morning and dusk that require no maintenance.
