ZHOU LI 周力

Introduction

Zhou Li’s works include paintings in mixed media and installations. Freed from the limitations of materials, she persists in the development of personal aesthetics and thinking based on the thoughts of naturalism. Reasonable romanticism based on European cultures and bold elegance rooted in Chinese traditions can both be seen in her works. Her explorations in contemporary boundaries show loving care for cultures and humanities. In each and every one of her works, the warmly touching details have been pushed towards the visions by this kind of power.

Graduated in 1991 from Department of Oil Painting, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. Lived and worked in France during 1995-2003. Guest Professor in Department of Oil Painting, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, since 2012; Art Director of Boxes Art Museum, Shunde, since 2017; Director of No.5 Studio in the Department of oil painting of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Academic Committee member of Pingshan Art Museum, since 2019. Art Director of Boxes Art Museum, Dongguan, since 2025;
