This work is based on the artist's long-term research project in the Shenchuan(Sacred Mountain) mining area of Deqen, exploring the complex relationships between matsutake mushrooms, forests, and mines. The piece uses plants from Shenchuan as a medium, refining the plants from the abandoned mining site into ceramic glaze, which is then integrated into a sound installation. The combination of glaze pieces and cables allows the habitats beneath the industrial production line to be seen and heard. The plants, once subjected to industrial violence and training, are no longer silent objects; they become messengers decoding the metabolic secrets of the mine.
