The orbeez themselves, originally developed for hydroponic farming, absorbs 100 times its body mass, sustaining the potatoes, allowing them to grow and flower in an ‘unnatural’ environment. All the potatoes are connected in one massive circuit, the bio-data sonification system picks up analog signals, communicating the lives of the potatoes in a format that can be heard and sensed by us, creating continuous potato music that varies in accordance to the changes in environment.
Potatoes are one of the most vital food resources for humans, a product of evolution, going back in history for 10000 years. It will also be one of the first sources of food humans will bring and grow in space. Perhaps from years of evolution, this timeline or another, they evolved or are evolving into a civilisation of higher intelligence.
