OverWatching Main Pt. 3 shows a magnified view of a digital painting made upon my first arrival in Frankfurt am Main. Typical features of the city are kneaded into hybrid creatures—a crow-plane, a dove-plane, and a duck-yacht. A year later, the painting was edited into a moving image. I wonder if I could nudge you through a clouded wander, by gentel force.

Wanwen zhang(b.1994) grew up in Mount. Emei, a mountain of fascinating nature, Buddhism and Taoism culture and flavorful cuisine in Szechuan province of China. Currently Zhang lives and works as a multidisciplinary artist between Frankfurt am Main, Germany and her hometown. From 2013 to 2017, she studied traditional Chinese painting in Beijing, and from 2022 to 2024, studied fine art and painting with Monika Baer in Städelshule.
