This body of work originates from a sustained, internal sensation of prickling—one that does not stem from a single event, but rather resembles a long-standing bodily response mechanism. Barbed wire is pressed into or encased within cast glass, where once-existing danger and structures of self-protection are preserved in the form of traces, constituting a kind of "remnant." When light penetrates from behind, the contours of the barbed wire are re-revealed, as if the inner defense mechanism has been reactivated.
